Visiting time :)

by Demonic_Cat

hello all,

I'm from belgium and planning a trip to Benidorm from 12/9 till 19/9.
I've searched a few things on the web and i came to the following list. I'm staying at the hotel Joya (Avda. De Andalucia 2) and i would like to know what's the best way to get to all of them from the hotel (foot, bus, train,..?), and some more information.

many many thanks in advance!

Plaza de Castelar
Iglesia de San Jaime
El Castillo Mirador
Balkon des Mittelmeer
Plaza de la Senoria
Puerto de Benidorm
Isla de Benidorm, peacock island
Parque de Elche
Parque de L'Aigüera
"Paseo Maritimo de la Playa de Levante"
Altea
mundomar
aqualandia
terra mitica

Terra Mitica and Terra Natura can be reached by the number 21 bus.

Mundomar is that near to Benidorm it costs 4 to 5 euros in a taxi, so if you have four or five people in a taxi it works out cheaper than the bus. But still you arrive and depart in comfort and straight to your hotel after a busy day, we thought it was worth it. You are best getting your tickets for the Mundomar before going as you dont have to queue just go straight to the kiosk and get in. You can get your tickets for a discount in the indoor market in the Levante area, ask at Sheilas money exchange where the ceramic shop is and they sell all the tickets at a discount. Or if you go on the little train from Levante to the Old Town you will be offered 4 euros off. I believe Burger King were doing a promotion of buying a meal and half price entry to Mundomar.

If you eat in Mcdonalds, we got kids meals, you get free entry for kids at Terra Mitica (if any kids are going with you).

If I was you I would go to Terra Natura rather than Aqualandia. Terra Natura has an aqua park in it, it is less busy and much cleaner

Travel Tips for Benidorm

SAN JAIME APOSTOL CHURCH.

by Hosell

This is the oldest and most beautiful Church in Benidorm,La Iglesia de San Jaime are located in the old town, next to the Mirador del Castillo. You can see on this picture the church and two blue domes, they are very common in all Valencia region to use this kind of gables for Churches's roofs.

It is possible to visit when there is no mass,
Is not very nice or interesting comparing with other churches or Cathedrals in Spain, but it has a beautiful high altar.

"Old town"

The old town is worth seeing. It has a harbour and a beautiful square leads to it. It also has it own beach. This area is known as traditional Benidorm and it is mostly Spanish people who holiday in this part of town but is it is a must see.
