adding to the million people and the traffic all summer months, the heat is almost unbearable. in fact the week i spent there the temperature day or nite reached every day between 30º to 35º. very hot any hour of the day or nite. got to be at the beach ( no problem ) and bathing all the time. keep drinking water or if you may,and you are on vacation, lots of beers. even at nite the heat was huge. light clothing is the answer. and sitting at the sidewalk "esplanadas" and have a nice ice cream. never had so much heat in any of my vacation. i asure you.
