weather
what is the weather like in march will it be warm enough to lay out and get a tan?

my short answer: probably yes.
my long answer: I do hate Benidorm with all my body and soul (sorry, but all these skyscrappers where once was a nice town get my nerves!!). But I had to go there for bussiness purposes a few years ago. The only good point of these visits was the weather!! As the visits usually were short and my plane back departed late afternoon, it was nice to go to the seaside promenade off-season and relax on the sun after lunch, even during winter months. The water would be too cold to swim, but if it's sunny it will be warm enough to get a tan. But the weather is so crazy lately that who knows!! Today is so warm and sunny here in Barcelona that I wish I was on the beach instead than at the office.

I think you have to accept what it throws at you, I was there for Xmas 2 years ago...bathing on the beach Xmas Day,,,terrific.
On the other hand we usually go in April and it is around 70/72 degrees which is fine for us, although folks that really like the sun, call that only warm!!
I am going in early Feb this year and though we dont expect it to be warm, have been told that it is lovely and warm at present..so you pays yer money and takes yer chance I suppose.

You can have good weather in March , yes. I have been out in March several times and it has been a mixed bag. You will probably get several warm days and maybe a couple of dull or cloudy days. Yes you could probably sunbathe and get a light tan. You can probably have temps of upto 21c this time of year. Sure you will have a few days of sunny weather during your stay.

"Benidorm a drunkards view"
I visited here in April 2004 on a Stag party which consisted of a number of apparently sensible older types(me) and a few younger Royal Air Force lads who had just come back from active service (not so sensible)
There are things that go on here that turn even the most sensible mild mannered person into a drunken gibbering wreck. Dont even think about retiring to bed at 12 midnight as it does not even warm up until then - make it 'till 6am and you're doing well although a lot of the clubs stay open until 8-9am. then time for a quick shower and then down to the beach to sleep it off.
Oh and apart from that there is the old town which is awash with small windy streets which are full of smaller bars and restaurants which are more authentic to spain than the ones situated at Levante that caters for the drunken Brit.
