Travel Tips for Denia
Chinese food was also good
by rachel_sun about Chinese restaurant next to burger king.
At Denia, next to burger king,we found a wonderful Chinese restaurant and takaway. The food was wonderful and very good price too.We had a meal for two with a bottle of wine for £10 and the quality was good too.Another night we had a take out and it was as nice. Ive had about 6 meals from here and every one was very good.I can highly recomend the prawns in garlic with egg fried rice and the chicken and mushroom dish. The menu has everything ranging from boiled rice, fried rice, noodles, chicken, duck, prawns, beef dishes, starters etc.The prices were about 30% cheaper than the uk.The staff were friendly. There is a big carpark outside and it is along the coastroad from Denia towards Oliva. Its easy to spot as there are giant red dragons outside and its next to Burger King.Boiled rice was only one euro and most main meat dishes were around 3 euros.
Denia town centre
by rachel_sun
Denia has plenty of beautiful little streets lined with trees which make pleasant shade during the hot summers. The town centre is encircled by the port.Ronda de las Murallas and Via Focense. The main streets in Denia are Calles Mar,Diana,Partico Ferrandiz and Avendia Marques de Campo.Denia has plenty of historical sights and has a lovely old part too.Biax-la-Mar is very nice and well worth visiting. Here there is a building called the Atarazanas which goes back to about the 16th century. This was a shipyard. There is also an old Ice Factory which was built in the 18th century. Here it is layed out very nice(architectual). The fish market is also worth visiting.(Lonja).It was built during the 20th century and fresh fish bought in from the fishing boats are still auctioned here today.Every evening you can go and buy fresh fish. It's a fun and exciting thing to watch.Denia also has a port where you can catch ferries from at to Ibiza,Majorca,Menorca and the Canary Islands. It takes 3 hours to get to Ibiza from the Port of Denia. You can also see Ibiza on a clear day from Mount Montgo viewpoint.

"Denia is beautiful"
I found Denia purely by accident two years ago when property hunting.Denia has everything a person could want for a great holiday or to live there. It has miles of sandy and rocky beaches.A very pretty seafront and tasteful shops and bars and restaurants.Denia is the very top of the North Costa Blanca. It has great weather all year round.I have been out there all times of year including December and March and even then it was 22c and sunny some days.
"Contrasting coastlines."
Denia has a port and a harbour and a great coast road that runs from Denia to Oliva. There are plenty of pretty streets to explore and shady areas to sit and relax with a coffee.Denia has tourism but it is also a working town. The seafront does not have buildings on it as the buildings are on the other side of the road which is great. The main beach is long and sandy and beaches south of the port turn rocky and north beaches are sandy and pebbley.I found south beaches very quiet and unspoilt.North beaches were also very nice.Just a few more buildings as you head from Denia to Oliva.
"Denia is historical."
Denia has historical sights too including a castle that overlooks the town and port.It is set amoungst green valleys with orange and almond and lemon groves.Mount Montgo surrounds Denia and you can get great views from the viewpoint.Denia has beautiful gardens and roundabouts all around it.It has good nightlife too which consists of having a good meal and then enjoying a few drinks. There are a few music bars etc too along the seafront. There are watersports available and there are plenty of caves to be explored in the area. But most of all this area is stunningly beautiful.Fantastic coastline.Great walks.Delicious foods. You can catch a ferry to Canary Islands or Ibiza, Majorca too.Something i will do in the future.
That is why I bought a house there.Denia has over 8 miles of coastline.Classy shops and restaurants and a great feel to it.
