Great local food
by Tripack about Tasca Eulalia
The Marqués de Campo becomes a pedestrian street at the end of the afternoon. All shops, bars and restaurants stay open late. A nice address is the Tasca Eulalia with outdoor street terrace (ideal for people watching) or inside. Local cuisine with all Valenciana specialities. Many Spanish people come to eat here so for sure it a good local address. Efficient service and reasonnable price. A must taste. You could enjoy there a drink, some tapas or a good meal...
My good choice was:
- Chipirones fritos (litlle fried squid, my favourite sea food plate)
- Entrecote a Caballo (excellent mix with slice of rib steak, potatoes and eggs)
And order one local Muscatello for the digestion ;-)
Denia Castle and surrounding areas.

Les Roques is well worth seeing too. It's the area next to the Castle. The streets here are good to take a walk along. Streets such as Salto,Olivera and San Francisco are pleasant. Another place i liked was the monument" el Forti". This is a stretch of wall which used to defend Denia from attacks. But the most impressive sight is Denia Castle. It overlooks Denia on a hill and was restored. Only parts of it are original. Mostly on the eastern side. The castle in now open to the public and has pleasant gardens and has a Archaelogical museum in it. The famous writer Lope de Vega was once a guest at this castle. King Philip111 once also stayed in it. We walked up to the castle and also looked inside it which is a museum. The Castle has amazing views and gardens with sculptues in them. You can relax in the gardens and have a drink and goto the loo. There are plenty of trees for shade as the climb up is quite energetic. Think it cost about £2 each to get in. Be aware of opening and closing times. Give yourself about 2 hours so you can relax and take your time.
Denia also has a huge mountain which is worth climbing called Mount Montgo. It is around 2500 feet above sea level and has stunning views along the coast down to Javea.Denia is a growing town and very industrial with the main thing being toys and plastics and woods. And tourism and fruit growing.

"Plenty of outside space"
Our bungalow has a nice terrace out the front, a drive and garden. We also have nice neighbours who live there and keep an eye out for us on the place.
"Coastline is stunning."
The coastline of this area is wonderful. You can have flat sandy beaches or rugged rocky beaches with cliffs. You can find your own private little cove. There are miles and miles of coast to explore.
"Spring flowers"
Another wonderful thing about Costa Blanca is that there are flowers all year round. The garden area where are place is is very relaxing and nice to walk round.People are friendly and most people live there.
"Inside our house"
We decided to furnish our place rustic style.Good solid hard wearing furniture.Which does not matter if it gets scratched etc.Bought most of the furniture from Rustiko in Denia.I love ethnic style furniture.
"Fully tiles bathroom"
The bathroom was done really nice with a proper metal bath and shower and beautiful blue tiles and a great vanity unit and mirror with lights above. It is nicer than my bathroom back here at home.
"Bedroom"
Also furnished my bedroom in rustic style.Nanny gave me the Indian style duvet cover for Xmas.Got the rustic bed side units from Rustiko ;-)
