Take your time and relax.

When you have a meal,do not rush, expect to take all evening.Politness is still important in Spain and a hand-shake on greeting and departing is normal.Always begin a conversation with'Buenos Dias'(good morning)or 'Buenos Noches'(good afternoon) and say'Adios'(good-bye) when leaving.
It is bad manners to try and rush Spanish people...Do learn alittle Spanish, locals will apriaciate it.Do try the local foods too.Dont stick to chips.Paella is very tasty and the local Spanish wine is very good indeed.Goto a local supermarket and buy some food and drink.Don Simon wine is very cheap,0.95 euros, but surprizingly very good.
Goto a local market and buy great priced food and fresh fruit and veggies.
Enjoy all the lush plants all around this area.Try to hire a car and see this coastline as its safe to drive and very very scenic.I hired a car in feb for ?103 for 10 days from the airport,Alicante from Agruia cars.Petrol is fairly cheap and you should also goto see Gata De Gorges where basket weaving is very big and there are lots of great shops.
Style of food.
by rachel_sun about Along Costa and inland.
Along the coast you can eat a big variety of meals.International dishes. If you want to try traditional food and recipies you are better going to smaller restaurants and going inland abit. When i was in Costa Del Sol i saw people cooking sardines on the beach in boats. They were very tasty indeed and it was nice watching this at night along Fuengirola coast. Think my fav dish is Paella.Valencia is famous for its great paellas. They have a fiesta each year making giant paellas.Paella is a mixture of rice, seafood and garlic, sausages, beans and various herbs and spices. It is cooked a huge pan and bought to your table in it.You normally have to order it for mimimum of 2 people. It costs about £7 a head. You can get a seafood paella and a meat only paella if you dont like seafood and shellfish.Ive had both and like the meat one best.It had chicken and sausages instead of shellfish. It is very filling and very delicious.
Freshwater caves
by rachel_sun
Denia, with its long sandy beaches, mount Montgo and its castle is a great town. You can climb the Mount and on a clear day,see Ibiza, which is 100km away.Denia takes its name from a Roman temple to Diana.Denia is a growing industrial town, with wood, plastics and toy making being the main things as well as tourism.
Fondest Memory:
Here i am at the Cueva Agua Dulce(freshwater Cave) with its two lakes. These caves are just east of denia and a must see. They have a bar there too.Very peaceful and a welcome break from the hot sun.
