Re: Scuba diving Costa Blanca
Greetings from Madrid!
I dove once un Javea but didnt see much as I was just doing my first open water dives as part of the PADI course I did in Madrid. I did see some rock arches and there are some arches and caves for more experienced divers that are supposedly pretty cool. I had a better experience diving with a dive center in la Villajoyosa, near Benidorm (which is south of Javea) Water was much bluer. They said they do a cool double tank dive that goes through a semi-cave but it has to be planned in advance. The Dive center in Villajoyosa is right next to the harbor and is called AliSub. www.ali-sub.com.
Anyway, The dive school in Javea we used is called Dolphins and there is another one right next to it. They are probably ok for smaller groups but with our dive class from Madrid they didnt really show us great dives. But mabye they were stressed with all these people there. Dont know. But since you are in Javea and if you want to do something more locally you could try to see if you like it. They have good equipment and people with lots of experience. www.dolphinsdive.com.
Have fun, there are better places to dive in spain, like a national park in castellon and ive heard Almeria is nice too.

Travel Tips for Jávea
LA NAO CAPE
Cabo de la Nao is a cape near Javea which is 116 m (380.5 ft) high. It is located in the very east of the Costa Blanca and offers fantastic panoramic views .Also here you will find a beautiful lighthouse!.
On top of the mountain, you will find an excellent restaurant with low prices, where you can enjoy the view while having a delicious Spanish dish.Although i didn't had a meal here,i just had a coffe because during my visit here it was late afternoon,i saw the menu at the door and i noticed also the good and cheap prices.
CALPE AND IFACH ROCK
Another very interesting place to visit and very close to Moraira,(about 12 miles) it is the city of Calpe and located here it is also the Ifach Rock, that is another Natural Park.(see my Calpe page for more information).Other nice places to stop around are:
GATA DE GORGOS
"My second home"
We have bought a villa in Javea as a second home. The beautiful fresh air of this part of Costa Blanca makes it so pleasurable to live. This is due to the unique position of Javea on the Iberian peninsula and Javea is often referred to as jewel in the crown of the Costa Blanca. The World Health Organisation named it as having one of the healthiest climates in the world, enjoying more recorded hours of sunshine per year than any other place in Spain.
"La Granadella Beach"
This little beach is the nearest beach to my villa - just 3 kms away
