"El viejo molino"
We went to a viejo molino ('old mill') of Paterna because Vicen had heard that some artist was using it as an atelier for preparing the sculptures (called 'Fallas') for the festival.
""Fallas""
Inside, there were only a woman and a dog. She was the wife of the artist and we found her working with some molds.
Very kindly, she let me take pictures of everything and she explained to us the process of making this amazing figures.
The "Fallas" are made of paper, then painted (these ones not yet finished) and mounted on floats for the festival. At the end, in a climax of fire, they are all burnt to ashes. What a pity!
