The Estrella del Mar is located in a prime location, right across the road from the beach, and with views of Peniscola Castle. It is a small 2* Hotel but is as good as many 4*'s I've stayed in.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The Room was very modern but still felt cosy and was spotless. It had free wifi, an IPOD dock, TV with Freeview, a balcony, an amazing shower. It really was excellent.
We stayed for 2 nights, and had breakfast both days. One day we had typical Continental style breakfast of cheese, ham & bread, the next we had cooked breakfast of toast, bacon and scrambled eggs. Each day we also had fruit, fresh orange juice, tea/coffee, buns/croissants & jam.
It was very good value for money.
It also surprisingly quiet considering it is close to the busiest part of town.
Next door is a restaurant, a cake shop, and cafes.
There is no Car Parking as such, but you can stay for 2 hours outside for less than 2 euros, and across the street is an underground Car Park which is open 24hrs but more expensive, about 17 euros for 24 hrs.
You can also leave your car about half a mile away in a bay where you can park for less than 4 euros for the whole day. It's easy basically, just sort it out when you get there and don't let that put you off staying in this great hotel.
Unique Quality: Amazing view. Make sure you book a seaview room.
Greatbalcony, I could have sat there all day people watching.
A five minute walk from the castle and a 60 second walk from the beach.
Directions: when you drive down into the town turn right towards the castle/beach and it is situated on the right, opposite the ceramic dragon !?!?!
