mosquitoe problem in santa pola??
Hello all
we are thinking of buying a property in santa pola because of the good prices and facilities it has,but are worried about possible mosquitoe problems due to near bye salt flat beds and swamp areas.
could anyone give us an indication how bad it is compared to other parts of spain???

We have a house in Gran Alacant right by the Nature Reserve Clot de Galvany (the "swamp" as you put it). I have been bitten once but my fiancee, who usually gets butchered wherever he goes, has never been bitten whilst staying there. I have family in Santa Pola and never heard of a mosquito problem there. I'm back this weekend, so will send you an up-to-date mosquito report.
Mojacar was terrible for mosquitos. And La Manga. The La Manga ones were specially vicious.
