Torrevieja Bus Service
by H86
Hi,
I will be visiting Torrevieja in July and staying in the La Siesta area just north of Torrevieja.
Just wondering if there is any bus service from La Siesta to Torrevieja?
Thanks in advance

I found the following link with schedules:
http://www.infotorrevieja.com/flash/torrevieja/autobuses/htm.html
I don't know if it is updated because I also read some news about the suspension of the service in March 2010.
Costa Azul also covers lines around Torrevieja. Check the site, perhaps la Siesta is near one of these areas.

Travel Tips for Torrevieja
Salesmen and beggars
by Heinisuo
As soon as you sit down to a terrace of some cafeteria or restaurant you get many street salesmen selling wathces, sunglasses, jewelry, etc.
There are also some women begging for money. It might make you sad while watching women carrying their(?) child and begging, put you should really think if they are on such a bad situation or are they just using the child as a means to an end.
Lots of sun, not that much of clothes
by Heinisuo
I had one backpack full of stuff for one week, but I only needed couple of clothes and personal hygiene equipment. So most of the stuff I brought along wasn't even necessary. If you are visiting Torrevieja during the summer as I did in July 2003, I think you won't need much of anything.
Swinsuit, towel, shorths and sandals and occasionally some light t-shirt, those were the clothes I mainly needed. Suntan oil, sunglasses and some suntan oil.
Plaza de Waldo Calero

The square is located close to the city and not far from the harbor. A pleasant area to sit and idle with its ceramic benches inspired by a ceaseless and ever-changing waves of the sea refreshed by a magnificent huge fountain.

"My second home"
This is my place in the sun. Nice temperature all year round. Maybe a little cool in january and too hot in august. But you will enjoy the place any time of year. The good beaches in the middle of the city, the long promenade by the sea, and the many good restaurants. We all love spanish food and wine, don't we?
