Visit the Cathedral The Cathedral is mainly of early gothic style, though some parts of it were added in later eras. Its three portals are Romanesque, gothic and baroque , respectively. The main chapel, Capilla Mayor, is in baroque style, the two lateral chapels are neoclassic.
The octagonal bell-tower, called Micalet or also Miguelete , is the landmark of the city. From there you have a great view over all Valencia.

The place you should visit in Valencia, is the recently opened Science museum, one the biggest in the world, and the best thing about its a interactive museum, they want you to participate in it. Beside the museum you also have a buidling called Hemispheric which is a Imax theatre.
FALLAS - Street Lighting

During the Fallas in Valencia there are a lot of activities going around, one of them is a street lighting competition. There are certain streets that opt to compete for the prizes as much depends on the economy of each falla and participating here involves a lot of extra cash apart from the spending on the fallas, the fireworks and the rest of the fiesta which includes many concepts.
One of the most spectacular lighting is in the street called Calle Sueca - Literato Azorin - not to be missed.
Albufera Lake

Immediately to the south of the city lies L’Albufera Lake, one of Spain’s most important nature reserves which is home to more than 250 bird species including herons and flamingoes. You can take a trip round the lake in a barquita (traditional wooden boat) and stop for lunch in one of the lakeside restaurants.
