Hi Harry, there are quite some sushi restaurants in Valencia. Check out the following links to see the one/s that you would like to try out. in barrio del Carmen. Lots of pubs in this area. - in the Conde de altea area - there are many other restaurants of different types in this area. Just near the Granvia Marques del turia. - sushi club . In the area of the city of sciences. - La susheria - Alameda Nº 3 -

Apart from these specialized sushi bars there you can find a lot of sushi varieties in menu cards of most of the Chinese and Japanese restaurants.

wishing you a delicious bite.

Travel Tips for Valencia

Valencia Cathedral

by Carmela71

Originally was a mosque, but when the Cid conquered Valencia it became a Catholic church. Later the mosslyn conquered Valencia, so it became a mosque again, and again the christians conquered and became till now a Chistian one.

The Patrona of the church is "Santa Maria"

Along with Art Nouveau, it was one of the most important construction styles in the beginning of the XX century. It incorporates decorative elements from any other style in search of an eye-catching result.

The best place from where to really live the fallas is from the Casal Fallero - it is the center of all the activity of a Fallas. Each and every falla has its casal, it is the place where the members of a particular falla meet and organize all the activities, celebrate functions and party around all year. Well it is not only partying all year waiting for the fallas of the coming year but alsoa lot of hard work as the fallas cost a lot of money and fund raising to be able to comete with the best falla or structure that all the members can afoord to pay for is a lot of work. Apart from payuing the fallas it is the street lighting, it is for the casal activity, the fireworks etc., etc., so this is the neuralgic center where all is prepared, celebrated and enjoyed. It is difficult for a non fall member to get here unless you are specifically invited by one of the members.

El Palmar

by Rita_

Around the Albufera Lake there are some small fishing villages such as El Palmar, a picturesque place well-known for the quality of its restaurants. You can enjoy local cuisine here: "all i pebre de anguilas" (baby eels with garlic and pepper) and "espardenyà" and you will see the "barracas", the typical moorish houses for many centuries in Valencia, made from raw materials such as wood, reeds, clay, and mud .
It's also a good place from which to visit the lake by boat.
The tourist area of El Palmar has a Barraca situated near the lake and offers a picturesque view.
A visit to El Palmar is the perfect way to pass the day, have an excellent lunch, enjoy the sunset or just taking photographs.

Cheap booze!

by maria_mullah about Cánovas

Cheap alcohol, that's the only reason you'd ever go to Cánovas.
popular with students. This is the place where people go to get
drunk before continuing to a nightclub... Expect to meet all kinds
of strange people... =P
Try for example B'aires (the blue bar) No dress code what so ever, you can come in your track suit,
no one cares.
