Cheap accomodation in Valencia

by apiapi

Hi,

I'm planning to visit Valencia during the La Tomatina period. Coz it's peak season i guess most of the hostels are fully booked. I searched and found 4 hostels around with 3 of them fully booked and they are

1. Home Youth Hostel
2. Hostel Moratin
3. Home budget hostel

The other Petit Palace Germanias is to expensive for me. Any other place ? Thanks in advance

Best wishes

Don't know how much you wanna spend. But I always recommend the hotels of the Accor-Chains "Etap" and "Ibis". See www.accorhotels.com

As far as I know there are some Ibis-Hotels in Valencia. They are not fancy but reasonably priced.

I guess you will have some difficulties to get a room at that time.

Have good luck and enjoy Spain

Travel Tips for Valencia

The eldest ruins in Valencia

by LanaFromRiga

Historians say that Valencia started in Romans times in 138 BC. Today not far from the Central station (Estacion de Nord) are ruins of Romans buildings.
Calle Guillem de Castro I like historian like old buildings and ancient times, that's why I didn't mention homeless persons who are living there, but enjoyied Romans columns.

Barracas

by SirRichard

This typical valencian houses are mainly built in the countryside. They are not so widely used now, but you can see some if you go to the Albufera. If you take a boat ride they can show you one inside (for tourists obviously) and explain you the way of life there.

Port Saplaya - a beautiful harbour

by HyperFredde

We didn't live in central Valencia during out visit. Instead we lived in a place called Port Saplaya, only 5 km north of the city. It was BEAUTIFUL! Port Saplaya is a harbour for small boats surrounded by apartments that you may hire (so did we). It has also a few restaurants, a pretty big mall and a very nice beach!

Shopping center

by benidormone about El Saler

Here you can choose from a wide range of stores. On the top floor you can choose from a variety of snack bars and restaurants. Also in this center is a carrefour hypermarket, and movie theaters. Here you can buy almost everything Depends on how much you want to buy

Metro Fares

by Conflictrealms

The cost of an adult single journey around the city center by subway is as cheap as €1.20! However, Spain also has a system different to the UK, and for just €4.60 you can purchase a ticket that will allow you a maximum of 10 journeys around the city IF you are staying in the city for a longer period of time, you can buy a monthly pass for €28.55. With this pass, you can make an unlimited amount of subway journeys for up to 30 days!
