by ciara2403

Hi

I need to take a taxi tomorrow from Valencia North train station to Rocafort. According to google maps the journey is around 14kms....can anyone give me a rough idea?

Thanks

Anywhere in Spain you can roughly calculate taxi fares as more or less 1€/Km
Plus, train stations usually have an extra fee of a few €
So, probably about 20€?
(hopefully someone more familiar with taxis in Valencia can confirm)

Travel Tips for Valencia

Sleepy Spanish

by Conflictrealms

I got into the City about 11 o clock in the morning. I was dropped off in the city by a rep, who then went off with my uncle to do some business. I was in the city, with just a Peruvian girl for company. And despite her not speaking much English, and me not speaking much Spanish, we got along great. We were suprised to see that even though we got into the city late in the morning, that it still seemed to be sleeping. There seemed to be harldy anyone around, apart from a few nuns, and the water fountains hadn't even been turned on. Some of the shops were still not even open! Evenutally, it started to get busier within the hour! (Photo taken with Camera-Phone)

L'Albufera de Valencia

by lichinga

This is a peaceful and nice natural area some 20 km South of the city. Worth the visit!! You may very easy catch the touristic buis from Plaza de la Reina - face of the Cathedral - at 10.30 - 13 - 16, with hearphones and text read in 8 languages, including very rare "valenciano".
"Albufera" means "artificial lake", as a matter of fact it originated by the residues left by two parallele rivers flowing on the North and South borders of the area.
The place is a natural park, amid the rice fileds and the sea dunes, and a boat ride is included in the 10 Euro trip. For those who love a quite relax in a natural environment contecxt; for readers, it is worth remembering that area inspirated Blasco Ibanez for his world-famous "Canas y barro".

ALKIMIA: Made In XATIVA
This disco is the best!!! But you tourists should go to places in Valencia-on the beach etc.
You would wanna go to the Disco's in Valencia-because they are better than anything else!!!! The only dress code is that you are not allowed to wear tracksuit bottoms (training pants-like adidas or nike). Apart from that wear what you like!
