(photo:main square Valencia again) The nights were fantastic in Valencia! Our guides organized us fiestas in different places. These parties ended at about 6-8 in the morning.I just remember that the girls were beautiful, there was great music and I drank a lot of CHEAP TEQUILA!If you are in Spain one of the most important sentence will be:'Uno/dos/tres tequila por favor!!
Sagunt
by sjvessey
Sagunt is to the north of Valencia, perhaps a 30 to 45 minute drive up the coast. The old city, surrounded by walls, lies on a promentory jutting out into the sea. If you've ever seen El Cid, starring Charlton Heston, you'll recognise this shot, when the old city of Sagunt doubled as the (much larger) city of Valencia!
At the right time of year, you might just stumble on something like this - a local bull festival. No matadors in this one, though. It wasn't that kind of thing.

by Fjordingen
We are 6 persons who will visit Valencia in February. The visit is mainly to study L'Oceanografic. Does anyone know of inexpensive, but nice accomodation in Valencia? We are also eager to hear tips from those who have visited L'Oceanografic. Are the other aquariums nearby we should visit, as well?
Best reagards,

Hi,
we visited Valencia last year and we found a very nice and new hotel, HOTEL NEPTUNO, paseo de Neptuno, in front of the sea.
We were 2 and we spend EUR 107 tax included per night with a very good breckfast.
The hotel was opened in feb. or march 2005, now the rate can be more expensive but is a real 4 star with jacuzzi on the top of the building.

From the hotel you can take a bus to go to downtown or to oceanographic and other sites.
Bus are not expensive, tikets are sold inside and even in the evening you have bus to come back to the hotel.
Near the hotel there are a lot of good and not expensive restaurants.
Oceanographic is veri interesting, and near there are a loto of other locations to see.
Have a nice stay

from Valencia airport to downtown there is a bus. And from downtown to the hotel you have a bus or a tramway. About 500 meters from the bus/tramway stop to the hotel

The Oceanografic is situated within the complex of the City of sciences and this area is sorrounded by many hotels. Some good options would be the following
HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS - Las ciencias ( there are 3 express hotels in Valencia )
NH LAS ARTES
These two are the nearest and probably the cheapest ( holiday inn express) while offering good quality service. the other hotels sorrounding the area could be
TRYP OCEANIC
HOTEL VALENCIA CENTER
I hope you find this information usefull.
