FALLAS - CASTILLO
by MaheshSamtani
The fireworks have a very special role in the festival of the Fallas. it is smelling gunpowder all around and everybody seems to be having a great time blasting all sizes of different crackers.
Nothing compared to the castillo that is held every night during the Fallas. They actually start from the beggining of the month of march and as the month proceeds you can enjoy them practically every night. They are prepared from the area near the Calatrava bridge to give a good view to as many people as possible who crown around the many birdges surrounding this area to have live a great experience. Rember 12 at midnight is when the first shot goes off and normally lasts for about 10 minutes unless it is a special ocasion like the Nit de Foc or on the main day of the Fallas - the 19th of March, where they go on for much longer time.
Being crazy at the bell-tower.
by kekky
The octagonal bell-tower, called Micalet or also Miguelete , is the landmark of the city. From there you have a great view over all Valencia, and Victor Hugo has counted 300 more bell-towers in all the city (to control if this number is right could be a challenge to patient and unstressed visitors ...??) To get there, simply take the stairs inside the Capilla Mayor church (in the plaza of Valencia), and the stairs lead you to the roof and the bell-tower.
Here me and my friend are visiting this bell-tower, and enjoying the view of Valencia.
Dance Dance Dance
by MaheshSamtani about GIORGIO ENRICO
One of the most trendiest spots in Valencia if you feel like dancing or just having a great time. The decoration is great with different floors offering a variety of moods to swing to. They also offer a great restaurant with pretty good food. Even though the price is slightly higher than normal standards, the atmospere well deserves the cost. Should you want to have dinner here before you decide to dance your guts off, I suggest you make a telephone reservation. This place starts filling in after around 01.30. maximum crowds get into Geiorgio Enrico around 3 in the morning when other pubs and night clubs close. The show goes on well into the early hours of the next day. In summer they have a terrace area whcih give a totally new dimension to pleasure. A great experience. Better watch your dressing code and specially your shoes to be allowed entry. Do not wear sneakers.
