Take a look at the Madrid Metro Map - (http://www.madrid-tourist-guide.com/en/map/madrid-metro-map.html) You will line 8 from the airport to Nuevos Ministerios. Then you need to hop on a LIne 6 for one stop over to Cuatro Caminos where you can pick up line 1 that you can take down to Gran Via. Gran Via is a relatively long street, but I think you are pretty close to the Gran Via metro stop. With two pieces of luggage it will be clumsy after you get to Nuevos Ministerios, depending on whether it is rush hour or not. You may want to consider the metro to NM, then taking a taxi to your hotel. Karl

The metro itself is easy enough to use, lines are colour coded and there are good clear signs everywhere.

You should be aware however that some stations don't have lifts or moving stairs. If you are carrying luggage you many have to climb quite a lot of steps with them, depending on the station.

Also if you have to change lines it can be a long walk from the one to the other, including stairs. Again it depends on where...

Madrid Tip

It was a long time ago when I was in Madrid. I remember thinking it a very neat city, the streets, buildings, and all. No info yet, but I'll put more as I remember it. I need to look through slides.

Princesa and Gran Via Avenues

by Christianne

While I was in Madrid, I stayed in the hotel Melia Princesa in Princesa Avenue.
Consequently, I had plenty of time to stroll around for shopping in the avenues %Princesa% and %Gran Via.
Awesome shops for the pleasure of the eyes!

Do you like football?? Then go to the Real Madrid's stadium! For 15€ you'll have the change to look through the stadium with no limits and even have access to places such as the tunnel to the locker rooms, the bench, the pitch, the showers, the press conference room, the trophies exhibition and even the presidential box.

Tours take place from Monday to Saturday from 10 to 19. Sundays and holidays from 10:30 to 18:30 (except on match days)

The nocturnal life in Madrid is very interesting...

It is of Monday to Monday

It is 2:00 am on the morning and the streets are full of people (including in winter)

Going the FARRA is local slang for going out and have fun ...........consist on going from bar to bar....... Have some drink and tapas and move to the next bar you can go to 4 or more places each one diferent and good.......wow i love it

were ever you are.....no matters the street or the location you will found a bar....... No dresss requirements need.....
