You should visit:
El Retiro Park: where you'll find lakes, palaces(there's a beautiful crystal palace, see it in the photo at the left handside), etc.
The museums.
The Royal Palace of 'Oriente': it´s possible to visit it within and it´s really beautiful.
If you have time enough you can visit Toledo, incredible city in the south of Madrid with lots of ancient buildings
from several centuries ago.
Bank hours are usually 8.30 -2.30 pm and that's it usuall except during the winter with some it can be once a week on a Thursday afternoon.
Work hours 9.30, 10.00am to 2.00 pm and then 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm. Don't try and do much between 2-5 in the summer, it's too hot.
The site where the Real Madrid Sports city were based is now occupied by the Four Towers Business Area, formed by four skyscrapers standing in a row which set a new record for building heights in Madrid and probably in Spain.
The four towers are: The Repsol tower (236 meters), the Sacyr Vallehermoso tower (236 meters), the Glass tower (250 meters) and the Space tower (223 meters).
All are spectacular to photo specially when the light offers the beauty of reflections.
Hmmm..... is this a shopping or eating tip? Actually it's both but I put it under shopping because of the variety of vendors at the mercado.
It's a glamorized version of the typical European market. However, you can eat at many of the stalls and have drinks too. It's like Heaven... You can get fresh meat, poultry and fish. You can also buy prepared foods and baked goods. You can also buy crafts. Who doesn't love crafts?
Located in Old Madrid below Plaza Mayor, Casa Antonio had a very cozy feel. The place was full of tables packed closely together with people socializing and having a great time. We spent about an hour here getting to know each other a little better.
