Hotels close to Plenilunio Shopping Mall
by Kevin_Miller
Hello world,
I'm after information on hotels close to Plenilunio Shopping mall. I arrive in Madrid at 11am, 18th August, but don't pick up my hire car till 4pm. As we will be travelling with 2 small children I'd like to be able to get to the mall easily on foot. I've provisionally booked a room at Axor Barajas. Anything better and closer? What's the Holiday Inn Express like for walking to the mall?
Another question I will be driving to Valencia either that evening or the next morning. How long should I give myself? Are there good places to stop during halfway through the journey, i.e. highway malls/service stations?
Many thanks.

Travel Tips for Madrid
One more Skater pic
by surferob
There must have been six or eight of them scattered about, working on their tricks. Only one was really very talented, this guy here. He could do a tail grind along the bench or bust a big kick flip at will, landing almost everything. I had to get lucky with the timing, due to the digital camera's shutter lag, and did on a couple of shots. Like I said, this kid was good.
Notice the look of complete indifference on the faces of the passers-by. Are they being snobbish? Hey, that's some real talent you're ignoring, come on!
Human Statues Madrid Style

Human Statues seem to appear in a lot of European Cities. Madrid is no different = If you snap a picture give them some coins. Watching the statues suddenly come to life is a fun & for some times frightening experience
Madrid Mountains
by aeroarce
At about 60km or around an hour by train you can easily reach Madrid Mountains.
Cotos, Navacerrada, Siete Picos, La Mujer Muerta, La Maliciosa, El Monte Abantos,... there are a lot of options to hike, walka or bike around. There exist forest paths linking one and other side of the Sierra and towns, you can also ski.
The pic was taken from La Barranca close to Navacerrada.

SALA EL SOL

This place usually arrange concert of modern groups. I often go there with my friends to see some independent groups like what you are seeing in the picture: they are called 'Susan 6', that sounds like 'Susan says...', a word game with number 6. No special dresses are required.
