Hi everyone,
I need to find the best and cheapest way to get 23 people from the international airport to the High Tech Gran Avenida Hotel. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Kind regards,
The Metro costs Euros 2 from the airport to Nuevos Ministerios on Line 8 - the Pinky one. To get to your location, you would need to get another metro line and then another one. Sorry I mean you will need to change at Nuevos Ministeros and again at another other station. Would not recommend this with a party of 23 8 year old boys. But I guess with adults it could be the cheapest solution.
Will be interested to see the other responses.
The metro is such a piece of cake, I would strongly recommend it unless you are traveling late at night or early, early in the morning. There is also a bus service, but I have tried them (Road: Bus: EMT (Madrid Municipal Transport Company) (tel: 902 507 850; website: www.emtmadrid.es) runs regular public bus services between the airport and Madrid (Avenida de América station): bus 200 stops outside the baggage reclaim area of terminals 1 and 2, while bus 204 stops outside Arrivals at Terminal 4. Several intercity bus services also call at the airport.) Karl
The location is about 15 km from the airport in my estimation. My suggestion would be to pack 4 people in a taxi (there are tons of them at the airport). If I remember correctly the fair should not be more than 30 Euro per taxi. So that would be approximately 7,50 Euro each.
If you book ahead you might even make arrangements for vans. Google "taxi Madrid) and you will have a list of providers.
If not, the metro is definitely excellent, but a little tricky if you have luggage.
There is an airport shuttle service by a company called AeroCity. They have 7-passenger vans that will take you directly to your hotel. The price depends on how many people are in a van. 1-3 people will cost a total of 20 Euros. A van with 7 passengers will cost 35 Euros total (not per person). The Website is www.aerocity.com
You can make reservations on their Website. I hope this helps, Fred
