When it comes to sightseeing, you are supposed to have a decent look. Put a way your shorts and flip-flops and wear a linen pants with sandals. Women wear sundresses, no beach wear or short skirts please. You ll be respected it you appear in class. Public swearing is not done, no Jesus or God name abbusing. Since 2006 there is a smoking ban. But there are (luckely) eneough pubs that don?t apply the rule. Learning some basiscs of spanish can be helpful. Madrilenes are very open people and like to make a chat to foreigners especially when they show that they try to speak spanish, the madrilines will try to use their bits of english. They greet you by shaking hands. womesn are to be kisses twice on the cheecks. Dont go sitting at a table with strangers thats considered highly rude.Bullfighting is very popular amongst Madrilenes, so don?t start arguing on this matter if you find bullrighting cruel.
