Hostal Adriano

Hostal Adriano is centry located in Calle de la Cruz (Metro SOL), i.e. between Porta del Sol and Place Jacinto Benevente. This means it will be easy for you to reach everything in Madrid; moreover the street is full of bars and restaurant. It has a disadvantage: it can be very noisy, dispite of the double-glass window. Anyway, this 2stars accomodation is not luxus but much more than ok, was completely refurbished in 2003 and everything looks new and clean. Every room is different from the other, offers private bathroom, Tv, air conditioning, safe and hair-dryer. It's just overnight, do not ask for breakfast. You will find very young and nice people at the reception desk, everybody can speak English very good.

Unique Quality: Great Location.
For 5 nights on new year's eve the rate for 1 double room was 73 euro. No extra rate for the night of Dec 31.

Hostal Adriano and Hostal Adria are fantastic. The service, the price and location cannot be beaten. As a lone traveller everything was easy to organise on-line and the staff were very helpful when I checked in. The rooms for the price were fantastic and were at least 3 star which for Euro 55 was a good price for one person.

The rooms of the hostal are in diversity of colours. The rooms are large enough and have a bathroom, telephone, refrigator and a safe. You have acces to the internet for 24 hours, just for free. The hostal has its own parking

I highly recommend it. The owner Stefano, speaks English , and was very attentive to the guests needs. Great care was taken with the decor. For approx. 40 Euro a night , you cannot get better. Its nice to know you can take advantage of hostal prices without sacrificing. To be honest the street below is quite busy so sleeping with your window open ( say autumn/spring) may be difficult, as there are clubs within earshot. But after running around all day - I slept, and well. There are prostitutes on the street- older ladies, and quite harmless...I guess you can say its part of the neighborhood atmosphere

Unique Quality: internet access, safe, ac, fridge in the room, tv and 2-3 blocks to Sol. Ideally situated to the nearby theatres as well. Near all nightlife. SOLO WOMEN travelers will love the attention to details/safety/decor

This centrally located little hostel has been recently refurbished and offers nice clean rooms in the very center of Madrid. Is located in a building where most of the flats are hostels, so if you don't find room here, you can try in some others at the same building.
The beds are not really wide, and the decoration is too "plastic", but the place is clean and the location is very central, though you might find some "bad companies" at night in Cruz street....
