Can anybody give me feedback on this Hostal ?
The hostal gets good reviews but this past month -July- I couldn't even walk down the street because of construction-buildings being gutted and rehabbed! I can't imagine getting much sleep there!
Great area -the best find is a small hostal about 3 minutes away from Dulcinea-Bianco II on Echegaray 5.
Quiet street but close to Plaza Santa Ana and the Huertas area.Great location & price-very clean and they give you your keys to get in the outside door at any time.Great local restaurant-friendly waiters, not many tourists just a couple of doors down-La Caserola!
We are not going to be in Madrid till early December. Perhaps the construction will be finished by then. Another Hostal I heard about close to this one was Hostal Cervantes. Do you know anything about this place ?
The construction/rehabbing takes forever! The entire block is a mess! It gets closed off when they have to load up/haul and cars get mad having to reverse on a one way street! It's loaded w/hostales but you will have the same problem w/construction-they start at 6AM and go well into the night..................
Did you look up Bianco II? On Huertas where I lived there's Hostal Lopez-clean and cheap. Also look up Hotel Plaza Mayor-great prices and deals -fab location across from the actual Plaza1
