Great boutique Hotel
Wonderful stay here, very very central, Hotel has been very recently renovated.
Staff happy to assist.
Reception is on the 1st floor of the building, (this is not indicated at the front door where you have to buzz them).
The lift is to be seen to be believed, it is so small.

Question about Hotels/Hostals near the OPERA
I would like to know if there are any good hostals or hotels that are near the OPERA area.

There are lots of hotels and hostales near Opera. I have stayed at Hostal Las Fuentes, which is quite a decent place to stay if you are on a budget but do not fancy staying in a hostel. (I am sure you know in Spain a hostal is not a hostel but rather a small family-run hotel). You can check it out on www.hostallasfuentes.com
Alternatively, you may want to check www.hotelsearch.com (This is, in my opinion, the best website to book hostales in Madrid: you book directly with the hostal, on their own website, and do not pay a cent until the end of your stay.)
