Another Hostal
Again, very central. This hostal came highly recommended for cleanliness and price, but is closed during August.
This Hostal is owned by the same people as the Hostal Los Alpes which was excellent.

This centrally located hostal is on the 4th & 5th floors which means that you have lots of stairs but it also very peaceful. The rooms & bathrooms were absolutely spotless. The rooms are heated in winter and all have a fan for summer and a TV. Rates were good and the staff were very friendly.

I need to book accommodation for the 11th Sept, for one night only, but only have a small budget, (max 40€...ish) does anyone know of a cheap, clean hotel or hostel, that is easy to find? I have a flight the following day, but all the hotels near the airport are out of my price range.
I'm a woman travelling alone so I would prefer my own room, but don't mind a shared bathroom
Hi
We stayed at the Marlasca Hostal - http://www.hostalmarlasca.net. Just a few steps from Puerta del Sol and metro. So it's easy to get to and from the airport by metro. Clean, air conditioned, pleasant staff. No complaints. If you are a light sleeper take a room off the street. Cheaper still is Hostal Los Alpes - http://www.hostallosalpes.com. Ask for a room with air conditioning and off the street if possible. I haven't visited this one but again the location is excellent and it seems good value for money.
Have a wander around, enjoy a beer at Alhambra tapas bar nearby (Calle Victoria 9), dinner at the atmospheric Plaza Santa Ana then finish the evening with chocolate and churros at San Ginés Chocolateria (Calle de Coloreros).
Happy travels.
Hi, We had our pocket picked at the Puerta de Sol, so be very careful. The person will drop coins at your feet and as you bend down they will steal your wallet or purse.
