Chinese restaurants are popular. If you want any names on a Map then open Yellow Pages Spanish :
http://callejero.paginasamarillas.es
Then in Search box put
MADRID
then in
"Actividades" put :
Restaurante chino
Whether they are to your taste is another matter.

if not besides: Mercado De San Miguel

If you are looking for specific vegetables used in Chinese recipes you may not find them in the regular markets/supermarkets.
Your best bet is Ta-tung Universal, a big shop of Asian products. It's a 30 min walk from Puerta del Sol, or you can take the metro to Principe Pio.

Alternative bar, complete with drag queen shows
by mesoblonda about X X X Cafe
A gay friendly bar with good energy and strong drinks. Nice mixed crowd with a nice selection of magazines available or just sit and people watch.
Drag queens perform in the basement on the weekend.
I ordered a Red Bull with vodka. The Red Bull, glass of ice and bottle of Absolut arrived at the table and then he began to pour, and pour...and pour! I had to tell him to stop pouring vodka! Now where in the US does THAT happen?! Dress as ya please!
