Stay in Salamanca without paying Salamanca prices

This hostel felt more like a regular hotel than a hostal. It's located in Madrid's most exclusive neighborhood, Salamanca, and there was an absence of fratboy-types. The rooms are large, clean, and has sound- and light-proof windows. We stayed in the triple room, which featured not only a balcony, but an entire terrace. The breakfast is adequate and the service friendly (tip: get the fresh-squeezed orange juice--it's cheaper than the stuff in the jars). If not for the absence of nice shampoo and hair dryer (you can get one on loan from the front desk), I wouldn't think this is a hostel at all.

Unique Quality: The best part about this hostel is that it is cheap compared to the rest of Madrid. Also, since it's in Salamanca, there is not the throng of tourists you will get at hotels near Plaza Mayor or Plaza Santa Ana.
