'en Madrid What's on'
by Zlur
Ok so here's a little reccommendation:
When you arrive in Madrid for the first time, go to Plaza Mayor and find the tourist information office and ask for 'en Madrid What's on' magazine and they'll give you one for free! I found this very useful as it's comes out monthly therefore is always up-to-date! You can find info about places of interest, theatres, shopping, restaurants, sports, exhibitions, flamenco, fairs, nightclubs and so on... Plus a helpful city map in the middle!
If you're staying in Madrid for around 3 days, then you may want to buy the 'Madrid Card' which entitles you to free admissions to 40 of the top museums, free use of public transport and the 'Madrid Vision' tour bus and also discounts in shops, restaurants, shows etc...
Price: 1 day-28Eur, 2 days-42Eur, 3 days-55Eur
The Cibeles fountain is one of...
by ainhoaflies
The Cibeles fountain is one of the most caracteristic symbols of the city and division point between north and south or between the new and old Madrid.
Sculpted by Francisco Gutiérrez in 1.777.
Standing there you can see on one side the Building of the Bank of Spain builded by Adaro y Sainz de la Lastra between 1842 and 1891, it's combination of diferent arquitectural styles make it one of the most interesting buildings of Madrid.
Lazy mornings at the Retiro Park
by SirRichard
Whenever I have the chance I like to buy the sunday press and sit under the sun in the Retiro Park. It is like an oasis of calm in busy Madrid. I like to separate the different sections in the newspaper, and start reading each one till the very last page. That's my idea of a lazy sunday morning.
For the colour supplement I go to the nearest terrace and order a cold beer and some olives :-))))))))
CHINCHÓN

This is a small and lovely village where in the 50's the visit of Mister Marshall from USA gave the best known image of Spain: the circular square of the village where popular bullfights take place in Spring and Summer time.
Hot nights
by Caroline.N about Clubs
On the Saturday night the bar men were muscular and handsome...The decour was beautiful and classy, gave a really good upmarket feel to the club. There were both male and female dancers on tabels (tranvestite on the Sunday night) and 2 rooms with D.J'S and several bars. Lovely to walk form one room through to the other. Sunday night also had Playboy TV present (very funny to see). I will definatly go back to this club on my next Madrid trip. There did not seem to be a dress code as such., but nobody will stop you for wearing your prada heels :)
