Hotel “Palacio Maria Elena”. Room #415

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on December 9, 2014

We stayed at the Hotel “Palacio Maria Elena” for several nights two times, in November and December 2014. First time it was double room #115. Everything was very good. Hotel situated in real geographical and historical center of Madrid. Hotel is in the Aduana Street between Gran Via and Puerta del Sol. It takes equal time if you go East to get Prado Museum of Tyssen Bornemissa Museum or on the other hand you go West to visit Royal Palace and Almudena Cathedral. It takes from fifteen to twenty minutes to get all those museums from the hotel by walk. So, hotel situated at the very center among all tourist destinations and shopping areas. Room #115 was equipped with all necessary things. There were the TV set, refrigerator with mini bar and air conditioner in the room. Wardrobe with safe was also present in the room. Bath room was equipped with the bathtub. Second time we stayed in the room #415. Bath room was without bathtub, instead there was shower cabin. It was big enough even to put there several very tall and very fat persons. Hairdryer was available in the bathrooms too. Everything was although not new but functional and clean. Free Wi Fi was available in all areas of the Hotel.
Food in the restaurant was standard for Spanish hotels and quite good.
All personnel was very helpful and polite, all people at the reception spoke fluent English. Majority of guests in the hotel were Spaniard well known as open and friendly people. So, my conclusion is that our stay was comfortable and excellent in single room of this hotel!
