Heartless Hotel
DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE! We planned our dream trip to Spain months in advance, however three and a half months before departure we suffered a terrible tragedy, and the brother of my traveling companion was killed in a horrible industrial accident. We had to cancel the trip. We booked with hotels.com, and all hotels were able to give us refunds EXCEPT PASEO del PRADO. Three and a half months in advance they could have easily re-booked the rooms. Instead, they kept $460.00, money that we needed for other necessities and did not even offer a partial refund, or raincheck. This after several calls, and numerous e-mails to Spain. They didn't care. Their greed trumped compassion for a grieving family. NEVER STAY WITH THIS HOTEL! If they could be so heartless to us, imagine what they could do to you if something happened during your stay. If you look at reviews around the web, you'll see examples of theft, overcharging, and an indifferent, unhelpful staff. DON'T REWARD THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE WITH YOUR BUSINESS!
