Puerta del SolThis is the very heart of the city. There is always something going on, no matter what time of the day (or night) it is. Around Sol you find good shopping streets (my favourite is Calle del Arenal), very good restaurants, the ticket boot for the bull fight (Calle de la Victoria), 3 different metro lines and so on. It also makes a very good meeting point for everyone. Every Madrileņo knows the ?milestone zero?, the symbolic centre of Spain or the ?oso y madroņo? (the bear with the strawberrytree, the symbol on the city flag).
