Hi there! Im going to Madrid for the first time to celebrate my birthday in beg. December. We will stay over there for 3 days. I wonder if you could advise couple of decent night clubs (we are 2 girls around 30:) and would be nice if there will be not too many teenagers:)). What is the best area to book the hotel (near shopping area, bars, cafs). What is a must to see?
Thaks lot!
Anna
Hi Ann,
Not sure if it's still a big hotspot (it's been a few years since I've been there), but my friends and I really enjoyed the club, Serrano 41, in the Goya District of Madrid. Cool crowd, fun music.....we danced all night there! It's easy to locate because the name of the nightclub is the address as well!
There are tons of hotels along the Gran Via (near tons of shopping!). We booked a flat in that area and were able to walk to all the nearby shops and restaurants.
Madrid is a very lively city. I'm sure you'll enjoy spending your birthday there!
Have fun!

thanks a lot!
my husband and i are both over 30 and liked the plaza santa anna area, plenty of cafes and bars. we went there a couple of nights last summer.
As far as nightlife Madrid has plenty of great places. If you like places that are kind of posh but definately no teenagers I would recommed Pacha, Fortuni, or Momas.
I have stayed in Madrid several times and I live here now and I believe the best place to stay is around Sol, Plaza Santa Ana, or Plaza Mayor. I live near the Plaza Mayor and from here you can walk almost anywhere and there are buses and metro stations everywhere. Plus it is lively 24/7 if that is what you like.
Let me know if I can give you any more help!!!
Could you advise pls what is the best location from the listed below:
1)Petit Palace Art Gallery
Jorge Juan 17, (corner with Lagasca), 28009 Madrid
2)Petit Palace Embassy Serrano
Serrano 46, 28001 Madrid
3)Petit Palace Tres Cruces
Tres Cruces 6 (esquina Gran Via 26), 28013 Madrid
Thanks in advance!
I´m from Madrid, I think the best location is
Petit Palace Tres Cruces
Tres Cruces 6 (esquina Gran Via 26), 28013 Madrid
Is very close to Sol, Prado , etc, but the other are not so far.
If you have any question please ask me.
Thank you very much!
