The subway is probably the best way to get around - it's cheap, easy to use, and it seemed relatively safe at the time we used it.I would definitely avoid using taxis. Even though they're not too expensive, there's a lot of traffic in the downtown area, and driving through it is definitely not the most pleasant thing.
