Old city Artchitecture
Located in the street Bitterness, it was erected between centuries XV and XVI. It is a construction that counts on gothic and Renaissance elements, the main facade is of gran?tica ashlar masonry, emphasizing the cover in arc of average point, with clay voussoirs that arrive until the ground, the shield of Carvajal in relief, fitted in a alfiz, and a balcony of corner in arc pointed at the sides of the two facades.
Foro de los Balbos ( Balbos Forum ) is composed of:
> Pilar de San Francisco ( San Francisco post ) - Plateresque style, built in the 16th century. On one side stands the City's shield and on the other the Catholic Kings' shield. Formerly placed outside the city, it was moved to the actual place in 1970.
> Genio Andrógino de la Colonia Romana ( Roman Community's Androgynous Spirit ) - the Androgynous Spirit is a roman sculpture from the 1st century that holds the abundance horn in its left hand. This statue is a copy; the original statue is in Museo Arqueológico Provincial.
