Hospederia del Real Monasterio: Holy place to sleep

This is a monastery offering accommodation for pilgrims and tourists alike. It has 47 rooms and you can walk and have breakfast in its Gothic cloister.
Prices are not too expensive considering the historical place and its charm. They also have a restaurant.
Guadalupe is a holy place and the monastery was erected in the XIII century.
The monastery and the same village itself are wonderful!
The monastery is considered Patrimony of the Humankind by UNESCO.

HOTEL LAS CIGUEÑAS: Nice place at TRUJILLO

Las Cigueñas hotel is a new buiding and a very nice place to stay if you are travelling into Extremadura area.The hotel is located in the medieval city of TRUJILLO.It is a three star hotel with nice and spacious rooms.Also has a snack-bar,restaurant and few conventions rooms.
Another nice place to stay in Trujillo,is the PARADOR NACIONAL DE TRUJILLO.

This was the star of the places we slept in Extremadura. It was a recomendetation of my dentist's nurse, who was here. Actually, is one of the most beautiful hotels i 've ever been, you sleep in an area of te monastery. The bedrooms give to a beautiful patio, full of plants, it's very quiet.

Pension Carretero: En la Plaza Mayor

The pension is a whole building, 3 floors if i remember well. Althought is old, it's very clean and they were very friendly. The bath is outside the room but there were more than one, at least in our floor. Little bit cool in December, but it's was ok.

Nice and central location in the Square. Our room had views to teh square, thought the window was small.

Hostal Salud: Hostal Salud, Merida

Clean rooms, cheap and central. It was a little bit cold in December but they left us a heater. I think for the price 10 € per person is wonderful!

Bancotel

My favorite accomodation is www.bancotel.com you get bonus to stay in diferent hotels (3,4 starts) for only 50 euros the double room per night, great value and quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my last trip to Extremadura, I stayed at my own village, located in the few days and also in a nice hotel in Trujillo city. But you can find very good hotels along Extremadura.In Merida the best is: TRYP MEDEA.
