Countryside between Zafra and Sevilla
Hi there,
I imagine that you know this place if you live in Zafra.
I try to get information from the hospitaleros without any success.
My questions please :
- is the albergo opened in January ?
- can we make reservations in advance ?
- are there any doble rooms available ?
- are there any sabanas y toallas available ?

I have seen some web sites advising that the lodging is "Abierto todo el año". It is listed as a lodging for those pilgrims walking along the Ruta de la Plata. Best to try to phone them in advance. A number given is 924500227 (use 0034 if calling from outside Spain).
You may find some more information about Fuente de Canto from the town's web site and may find a contact name to approach also :

I already tried to approach ayuntamiento de fuente de cantos. No answer either.
May be this villa + ayuntamiento without success.
I ll keep on insisting as i did to book train tickets on Renfe internet site.
After x attempts, it did work...

A couple of minutes ago, i have received a mail from tourism office in Zafra mentioning :
Tambien decirle que el albergue se encuentra cerrado en estos momentos por reformas.
So, i'll be patient....

Congratulations on booking a train on RENFE !
I have visited Zafra and found it very nice.
We were touring around south western Spain and decided to visit Exremadura so head off to stay in Zafra.
Zafra is a nice town with some impressive buildings, notably the Parador which was once a castle (well it still is a castle - but you know what I mean!!). We had a good couple of days here and would recommend it as a place to see a less touristy town with friendly people and amazing Jamon (YUM!!)
