Deportive v Barcelona

by babylonpink

My three friends and I will be in La Coruna next weekend, 26th & 27th April, and were hoping to catch the Deportivo v Barcelona game. Will we be able to buy tickets for the game from Raizor or will the game be sold out. It is my second visit to Coruna and I really want to see Depor play so any help with tickets would be great.

Hello,

If you google 'deportivo v barcelona ticket' it comes up with lots of ticket agents selling for the game.

Good luck and enjoy Galicia.

Best wishes

Vickers 381 Cannons in a park.

by josecadaveira

A place that not many tourists go up to see is the Park of San Pedro (Parque de San Pedro). This place was a military base and closed about 10 years ago. Nowadays it's more like a small Hyde park with magnificent views over the city. The highlights of the place are the two Vickers 381 cannons that still look out to sea waiting for an enemy that will never arrive!

Jardines de San Carlos

by gordonilla

These gardens are pleasant and located within the old town of A Coruna (Ciudad Vieja). The gardens are pleasant and quiet - they are home to the tomb of General Sir John Moore.

Originally the walls were erected in the 14th century outside the city walls, and these were incorporated into the city in the 16th century. This was an important bastion for the defence of the city until it's arsenal exploded - it was then left unused until the 18th centruy when it was developed into a garden by Don Carlos F. de Croix. It's modern day appearance is due to the Governor of Mazzaredo in 1834.
