Like so many cities and towns - La Coruna has a tourist discount and access card. The card is valid for 48 hours and there are two types of card - the individual card or the family card.
The card includes admission to the city's museums as well as a number of discounts offered at a range of stores and leisure outlets. You can also receive a 40% discount on car hire rates at Europcar (00 34 981 14 35 36)

PARK ~ JARDINE DE MENDEZ NUEZ

I took a walk from the Palexco, towards the greeneries. Being early in the morning, there were lots of people walking their oversized big and very tiny dogs. It was amazing watching the dogs and their owners...they seem to know each other...thre owners and the dogs!!!
There were plenty of people on their way to the conference...noted the bag they carry and the tag they wear...and every now and then they stop to take pictures...
so i took this picture - which was very close to their national teather - under renovation though...becos nearly everyone that stopped by took it...

The older part of town, Cuidad Vieja, is huddled on the headland north of the port, while the most famous attraction, the Torre de Hercules lighthouse, originally bult by the Romans. The north’west is lined with sandy beaches, more of which stretch along the 30km sweep of coast west the city.
