Travel Tips for Coruña

Visit the TAPAS bars in the evening and try some of these delicious typical spanish 'bar snacks'
The beaches of RIAZOR and EL ORZAN are a must if you are staying in the town and if you like Football you must catch a DEPORTIVO game at the RIAZOR STADIUM. My first visit with Kisha in 2000, we had 5 days of fun which led to us realising our true feelings for each other.

View from the top of the Lighthouse.

The photo safari in A Coruna continues with a view over a large beach , Playa del Orzan this extends to Playa Riazor, both of which on a fine sunny day are full of people. The sand stretches in a semicircle for at leat 2 km, it is quite wide and suitable for beach games, swimming as well as walking along the promenade.

Since my visit in 2000 and as a result of joining Vt I know of one Vter who lives with his family in the apartment block overlooking the bay, it is the curved one with the red roof. Small world indeed.

Located in the northwest of Spain, at the Atlantic Ocean, the ancient Brigantia is an historic maritime city, wich importance stands out since roman ages to present time.
The history of A Coruña is the history of its port, very famous in anciente saling. Witness of this is its very tall roman lighthouse, built in the second century. This lighthouse is known as "La torre de Hércules" (The tower of Hercules).
One of the most outstanding signs of identity of A Coruña are the numeruos glass façades of the XIX century buildings, which gave to A Coruña the name of "Glass City".
