Portonovo
Portonovo is a nice and quiet fishing village, surrounded by nice beaches and neighbour to bustling beach resort Sanxenxo. It has a good offer concerning restaurants and shops, where you may find everything you need for your stay in the area.
While in the area, we went to the beach - the main reason for staying there -, explored the Rias Baixas' coastal line and visited Santiago de Compostela. Also, there is a karting nearby which provided some extra fun to our enjoyable stay. During summer months - mainly July and August - there is an arts craft fair along the coastal path where you may buy cheap stuff.
Portonovo also has a long beach, with white sand and calm water (it is a bay, situated after the harbour and marina). Being so close to the harbour and the marina, the water didn't look as clean as the other nearby beaches.
