what a week

by A TripAdvisor Member

we stayed for 1 week allinclusive im just glad it wasnt 2 weeks
the hotel is clean and the pool very nice and the staff at the hotel were very nice infact it would be a lovely holiday if it wasnt for the noisey guests slamming doors at all hours and unruly children running around screaming (no parents to be seen)
the food is lovely if you like salads and as for the drinks they are plentyfull but not very nice if you have a lager it is flat the wine is like vinigar and the bacardi is yukkk i drank the willys (its like baileys) and the malibu aint bad.
if you want entertainment dont expect it at this hotel i thought i was in a loony bin especilay after the mini mini disco the songs drove me to drink.
the courtasy bus to palma nova was great we went almost everyday and theres plenty of shops and bars ect
san augusti town is 245 steps down from the hotel and 245 back up i nearly had a heatattack and i consider myself quite fit, theres not mutch down there anyway so save yourself the trip.
i would never stay at the hotel belverder again not even if it was free .

Fab Time

I visited the Hotel with friends in May 2006.

I cannot fault the hotel or the staff, in fact I am considering returning either the end of the year or next year with my family.

The rooms were simply fantastic, exceptionally clean and with clean towels and bedding everyday. There is plenty of room with a huge amount of storage for all your belongings.

The balconies are a nice size and even with a room at the back of the hotel the views are lovely.

The food was delicious with a range to chose from including salads, meat, fish, rice and pasta dishes, there were also a large selection of puddings to chose from.

Also for snacks during the day there was the pizza ovens and the pool side bar and cafe.

All the staff were friendly and ready to help.

There was plenty for adults and children to do, there was the mini club for the little ones, there were sports available for the older ones, including French Boules, Rifle Shooting and Water Polo.

The evening entertainment was excellent for the children, some of the adult entertainment was quite basic , however at the time we were there, there were five entertainers who worked from nine in the morning til eleven thirty at nite, i think that they did an amazing job and were very friendly with all the staff and got everyone to join in and have fun!!

The area the hotel was set in was a bit quiet, not for those looking for the night life but if you have a family the entertainment is perfect

I would recommend this hotel to anyone with small children

Better than some but not the best!

Have just returned after a week at Hotel Belvedere. There are good points and bad. We would not visit this hotel again. However we wanted a relaxing week and came home well rested.
Here are the BAD points: Ceiling fans not enough to keep cool, we bought a fan from Palma Nova on 2nd day. Food was disappointing, very little choice & cold. Our last night was better with much more choice. The quality of the food was poor, a little more money spent would make a lot of difference. Steak and kidney pie was ruined due to poor quality steak and the bacon at breakfast looked most unappetising. The reception & bar staff were mainly unfriendly but the maids were happy and friendly. Long queues for bar although drinks in larger measures than some all inclusive. A battle for the free bus to Palma Nova in the mornings, better to wait til after lunch and get a taxi back(around 12 to 15 euros). A good shop a short walk away but round bend and no pavements, dangerous for kids. Beach 250 steps away! We were lucky to have a balcony overlooking driveway,in shade most of day, those overlooking pool would have had sun all day, we found ours pleasantly cool. Vending machines on all floors charge 1.50 for water and ask that water bottles not filled from restaurant, not fair when it is so hot.
Now the GOOD points! A great pool, large and clean, separate kiddies pool well away from main pool and with sandy playground nearby. Lots of sunbeds and chairs and plenty of shady areas for those that tend to burn (like me!). Tasty hotdogs, burgers, chips and icecream available from 12 to 5.Clean towels every day if required.

Great Location - goof for young couples and families

by TripAdvisor Member helenginger

I have to say that this is something that me and my partner have never done before, going to Spain and staying all inclusive, therefore is was important to us that we got the right location and a decent hotel, plus a back up plan if the food wasn't that brilliant.
We found it all in this hotel!! The hotel itself is very clean and they clean your room every day for you. The reception staff speak really good english and are there to help you 24 hours a day. There a 9 floors to the hotel and I have to say that the lifts are pretty slow and small, but there are 3 of them, or you could keep uup your fitness levels and use the stairs. The grounds are really nice and clean, accomodation for people who want to sit in the shade or build up a tan. The pool is totally fantastic, they play may watersports on a daily basis. The pool is about 2m deep all the way around and there is a life guard there until 8pm at night. The entertainments team appeared to be really good for families with children. However, its not the best for young couples. There is a free shuttle bus that takes you into Palma Nova every half an hour until 6.30pm. After that you have to walk into San Agustin (10 mins) and get the bus. Or you can get a taxi there and back which is abouty 25 Euros. The food is lovely. The quality was of a high standard and you do get a variety of things. I on't know sometimes what people expect from a all inclusive meal time especially if they are catering for 800 people!! The pool bar is open from 10am til 11pm and serves fast food snacks. There is a pizza bar which is open til 8pm. So you have food available to you from 7am til 11 pm. There are lots of activities to do out and about like Agualand and Marineland in Magaluf. This hotel is a excellent location as you are out of the way from all of the hussle and bussle, but within minutes you can be in Palma Nova or Magaluf. The only downside to this hotel was that our room was situation on the back of the building with a sea view - totally perfect, but about 3am in the morning the bin men turn up and start empyting all of the rubbish away and it is very noisy!!!!! SO I got some earplugs and I never heard a thing after that.

fantastic holiday

by TripAdvisor Member jemmaw

We have just come back after having 2 weeks holiday at the Belvedere. We read all the reviews before we went so didn't really know what to expect. However we had a brilliant time. The food was great with lots of choice, we found that if you spoke to the staff they were very friendly and helpful. The pool was brilliant the children loved it, plenty of sunbeds and pool surfaces washed everyday. There were short ques for drinks and snacks but you were soon served. The entertainment was great, lots of sports throughout the day such as volleyball, water polo, boules and shooting. Entertainment staff were very friendly tried to get everybody involved and they worked extremely hard but always smiling. We found there was plenty to do for all ages at this hotel if you wanted to take part. A fantastic 3 star hotel. Jemma and Jeanette
