The Gran hotel Santiago should be of very recent construction. It is situated in a very quite location, even though Santiago is not a very big city and at aprox. 15 minutes walk ( hardly ) to the cathedral. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. The breakfast lounge is situated on the 11th floor giving with very good views to the surrounding landscape. I got a very good bargain for this hotel. The hotel web states one price but when I spoke to them over the phone I was offered a double room for single use at 70 Euros.
Unique Quality: New constuction. Spacious rooms, very good decoration.
Directions: Take a cab from the airport - flat rate 16.50 per journey for upto 4 people.
