Pension Santa Rita

Reasonable Accommodation near station

I booked this place, through Booking.com, due to its price and location.

I was here for just one night, and needed to be near the bus stop for the airport, and the bus stop for the special buses to that nights Bruce Springsteen concert.

At my previous visit I'd stayed in a boutique style hotel in the old part, near to the Cathedral (Please see previous tip), but this time, it was out of my tight budget.

The Pension was quite easy to find, it was in a residential block.

Reached by a lift (elevator) the sign in the lift was a bit worrying (pic 2 ) but during my stay I had no problems.

I arrived to find a man, who showed me to my room. It was basic but clean- and was fine for my short stay.

My view was into a space between 4 walls- so could see the comings and goings of my neighbours to the left of my room. This wasn't a problem.

Shared Bathroom (pic 4)- there was a choice of 2. Again, I didn't find a problem.

My room had a single bed, wardrobe, dressing table/desk and television.
The bathroom had a walk in shower, WC, wash basin, - toilet rolls, towels, shower/hair gel.

I was pleased enough with this property- it was clean, reasonably priced, and near to the airport bus stop/station.

It was just enough away from the main area, so quiet, but not too far to walk to reach the old town and attractions.

Yes, I'd stay here again when on a budget.

There is a nice cafe/bar on the corner of the street for breakfast/drinks- mainly used by locals. (please see my restaurant tips)

Unique Quality: Handy for seeing the sights, but a few minutes from the old part.
Near to the train and bus stops.
Cafe a few steps away for breakfast etc. A chance to experience a different side of Santiago De Compostela!
