Great small rural hotel set half way up a mountain on a Natural park, great views from the terraces, wonderful homemade Mediterranean food, excellent place to relax.
The hotel was excellent value for the accommodation and the food with an excellent choice of wine and beers for such a small hotel.
Our room was clean and comfortable and opened onto a terrace that had fantastic mountain views and views of a moonscape area known locally as the badlands.
Quad biking and the canal cycle ride were a treat!
I would be very happy to return.
The hotel position and its typically Spanish feel are its great assets, the Hosts (especially the owners son Tom) are all what makes the hotel special, the food the pool, the gym, etc etc all add to a wonderful stay.
On the downside (for some people) you absolutely need transport!, no English papers (yet) and only Spanish tv in rooms (although sky is available in the lounge), but hey it´s SPAIN!
Found the hotel by accident, initially the idea was to stay one or two nights but ended up staying 10 days, excellent accommodation in a beautiful area of the Sierra Espuna (Murcia region of S.Spain), spectacular walking and cycling and also relaxing (ask my wife!!).
The hotel food was better than anyone could ever expect, the family hosts running the hotel, Sam, Mark and their 2 children Thomas and Cady were perfect 'waiters'!
We have arranged to go back and can't wait.
Thank you Sam for the wonderful food, I will have lost the weight before our return!!
