Inside the cathedral
Does anyone know where we might be able to Hire or Buys tools to Landscape a Garden and do some DIY on a Villa in Torrevieja.

Get a copy of Campo and all the other free magazines in English - usually available at bars and pubs.
Also Carrefour and Alcampo have quite an offer of tools at competitive prices.
If you have the time and inclination, Leroy Merlin north of Alicante City also have some heavier tools, but it is quite a drive away.
Good luck with your DIY and get digging... it will be scorching hot sooner than we think.

The church of San Andres dates from the XVII century. The church is located near the museum of the famous wood carver Salzillo. I didn't find the church very special, maybe because I had already seen a lot of churches. But if you visit the museum it is nice to visit this church too.
Murcia is a relatively modern city, by Spanish standards. It was founded by Aderrahman II during the Moorish occupation of South Spain, in the IX century. The city took advantage of its location in the middle of the fertile Segura Valley. Apart from the smart irrigation methods imported by the Arabs, there is few left from that time. Most of the buildings of interest in Murcia date back to the splenderous Barroque periode, whose pièce de résistence is the impressive main façade of the cathedral.
