The room was great, very little noise although I fear the hotel wasn't very full. Our room did overlook the courtyard where there was alarge marquee set up, probably used for functions at the weekend. We had a lovely large shower and everything was very clean, no bath towels in the bathroom was soon corected when we phoned down and they came within seconds of phoning.
We had our motor bike (Harley Davidson) with us and when asked they let us store it away in their store room with no extra charge, as there was no secure parking - although the parking lot does have cameras watching it.
Despite the 4 star rating, the prices didn't reflect it at all - I was concerned that the room rate off the net was a spcial and that we'd find the bar prices and restaurant to be expensive, but not the case. The measures are the bar were more than generous and a very large Baileys was only 2 euros!
The location for the hotel was outstanding....built in a lush green area where most of the surrounding places are a dust bowl. Coming out of Totana you are transported into a different world and the hotel is 4 years old but built on the location of the old monastery.
It doesn't yet have a pool, but still provides a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. perfect for weddings!!
The staff were very helpful indeed, speaking english if you need it. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was very reasonable on the menu del dia - 4 courses for only 10 euros. The wine list was way beyond our uncultured pallete but i am sure would not disappoint a wine buff.
The buffet breakfast was 5 euros, and plenty to choose from as well as the fact they'd cook virtually anything breakfasty you wanted - hubby got bacon and eggs no extra charge.
