Parador Sierra de Gredos: It is here that all started

Facing a splendid panormama of forests and granitic peaks, the Parador of Gredos is the oldest in the state-run reputable hotel chain. The building, although next to the road, is isolated from any other human construction. The facilities and the food are certainly not the best in the chain, but they are still good enough to have a pleasant stay in complete isolation.

As an initiative promoted by the King Alfons XIII himself, this hotel was the first to be built in the concept of the paradors. A successful idea that has expanded along this almost complete last century and includes today almost 100 hotels all throughout Spain.
