Nice hotel centrally in Mora

I was here on a job travel and landed at St Mikael hotel. Two nights here in the midst of the ski season proved to be calm, quiet and very nice.

Unique Quality: A central location in Mora, walking distance to the Vasaloppet ski centre sites, all sights in town including the water front, museums and pedestrian street. A bit out of the way is the train station, but that's old planning's fault, not the hotel... still, walkable w/o too much luggage. Like most hotels of a certain age and tradition, the electric outlets and wiring are not totally geared toward the internet age and such modern demands, but by disconnecting a lamp and the water heater it was fine. And there were wireless internet connections and 3G mobile coverage in my room.
The room was very Scandinavian-utilitarian, with a spacious shower room, plenty of space for luggage and winter clothes. Good bed, slept very well here. Next to a main road, but very well sound proofed.
The minibar was also very Scandinavian: empty! Go to a supermarket and the Systembolaget liquor shop and stock the minibar yourself.
The reception is not manned between 22 pm and 6 am, so a number code is needed to get in. Easy check-in and check-out.
The big attraction of this hotel has to be the restaurant/pub, which you enter from the hotel's main door. Very good food that is making this place an excellent choice. The morning breakfast buffet was a travel in Dalarne's food culture, superb.
I was very happy about this stay.
