Quaint and laid-back Mora
"Mora and the Siljan area"
The Dalarne landscape in central Sweden is calm and beautiful. Lots of trees, lakes, rivers. A central feature is the Siljan lake and a few small towns located around this lake and in the low valleys. The main town in terms of administration, business and population appears to be Mora. Mora has a nice location right on Siljan, and has a solid appearance. Many wooden houses are painted the brick red color of the old. The newer buildings are modest brick and concrete and do not overwhelm the quaint appearance of the town. A nice place to visit.
